Reconciling Freedom of Speech and Religious Beliefs

In the wake of protests throughout the Arab world over the production of an anti-Islamic video, the US must respect the people’s freedom of speech, but also promote the idea that it is in no one’s interest to insult another religion and advocate a policy to project the moral standing of the United States in this regard. We should continue to walk the moral high ground by showing a great deal of tolerance to other beliefs, just as we want the Muslims to tolerate Judaism or Christianity.
