Immigrants Are What Made America Great

Trump’s immigration policy is destroying America’s greatness Immigrants are the backbone of America’s greatness—powering its economy, enriching its culture, and advancing its global leadership. Yet under the guise of making America great again, Trump’s exclusionary, racist policies are dismantling that very foundation, stifling innovation and tarnishing the nation’s moral standing. To understand the magnitude and…

The Writing Is On The Wall: Trump is Intent on Hijacking the Midterm Election

Terrified by the likelihood of losing the Republican majority in the House and facing the prospect of impeachment, Trump is determined to steal the midterm election by any means, however menacing or unconstitutional they may be, to deprive the Democrats of their nearly assured victory. The Democrats must be fully prepared to push back against…

Iran, War, And The Illusion Of Control

As the US-Iran negotiations regarding the latter’s nuclear program and the threat of attacking Iran loom high, both the Trump administration and Iran ought to consider very carefully the potentially colossal regional repercussions if they do not reach an agreement. If Netanyahu convinces Trump during their meeting, at the time of this writing, that attacking…

The Democrats Need A Concrete Governing Agenda

Since Trump reassumed the presidency, the rank and file of the Democrats have been busy criticizing, for good reason, Trump’s unhinged exercise of power. Given Trump’s onslaught on just about every norm of America’s political, cultural, and economic way of life, the Democrats cannot possibly exhaust the range of criticism they can level at Trump…

Since taking office in January 2025, the Trump administration has pursued an unprecedented mass deportation agenda: expanded expedited removals, offshore detention at Guantanamo, transfers to a notorious prison in El Salvador, termination of protected status, and deportations. Families are being torn apart and people are disappearing into detention. This is the cruelest immigration regime in modern American history.

Although estimates of deaths in the Sudan civil war vary widely, a US envoy suggested that up to 400,000 people may have died, while more conservative estimates put the toll at least 150,000 by early 2026. In any case, the number of people who died is staggering. In addition, over 10 million people have been displaced, nearly two million forced to flee across borders. Civilians are trapped without food, water, medical care, or safe routes to escape. People are killed inside their homes or while searching for basic necessities. Women and girls, some as young as 12, face widespread sexual violence. This is not an unintended tragedy; it is the result of a civil war that could end if only the UN Security Council unanimously imposes an arms embargo and enforcement mechanism across all of Sudan. Every day of inaction, hundreds of innocent Sudanese women and children are losing their lives. ... See MoreSee Less

It was hoped that the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, agreed upon on October 10, 2025, after months of grueling negotiations, would bring an end to the horrific death and destruction that had been inflicted on Gaza by Israel for two years. But tragically, our hopes were shattered, as the killing of Palestinian women and children continues inexorably. The Netanyahu government persists in making ruthless claims that massive civilian harm is an acceptable cost of “permanent security superiority” in Gaza. ... See MoreSee Less

Iran is escalating its use of the death penalty as a tool of political repression. At least 30 people, including minors, now face execution for alleged involvement in the January 2026 protests. Eight young men have already been sentenced to death after expedited trials marked by torture, forced confessions, and denial of legal representation. Dozens more remain at risk. This systematic violence exposes a regime clinging to power through fear. But external military pressure or regime-change fantasies will not stop the killings. War against Iran would harden repression, destabilize the region, and likely produce an even more radical outcome. Targeted international pressure and accountability, not bombs, are the only viable path forward. ... See MoreSee Less
