American author and political thinker Mike Bedenbaugh is a respected voice in constitutional principles and American governance, historic preservation, and community development. Born with a reverence for history, he served as the former president and executive director of Preservation South Carolina, where he led numerous initiatives that demonstrated the economic and cultural value of historic preservation.
Mike’s diverse background includes five years of service in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS South Carolina, studies in international studies and history at the University of South Carolina and Columbia University, and leadership roles in both nonprofit and for-profit sectors. He has also served on his hometown’s city council while his efforts in community revitalization and historic preservation earned him the Order of the Palmetto, South Carolina’s highest civilian honor. As a member of Preservation Action in Washington, D.C., he continues to advocate for policies that strengthen local communities and honor America’s heritage.
Driven by a mission to revitalize America’s founding ideals, Mike hosts the podcast Reviving Our Republic with Mike Bedenbaugh, where he explores the intersection of history, politics, and community development. Tsvi Bisk is an independent futurist, social researcher, and strategy planning consultant. He is the director of the Center for Strategic Futuristic Thinking and the founder and director of the Strategic Educational Planning Institute. For more than 20 years, he was a senior associate of the Beit Berl Institute (the research and education arm of the Israel Labor Movement). Bisk is the author of five books, and has published more than one hundred essays and articles in English and Hebrew in a variety of publications. His latest book is titled Cosmodeism: A Worldview for the Space-Age: How an Evolutionary Cosmos is Creating God.

Sexual violence has long been used by criminal groups in Haiti to terrorize communities—but the brutality is escalating. A new report by Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) shows a sharp rise in gang-related sexual violence, often involving multiple perpetrators, firearms, and death threats. Since 2015, MSF has treated nearly 17,000 survivors in Port-au-Prince, with cases tripling since 2022. What’s most alarming is how few survivors can access care in time. Most arrive too late for lifesaving treatment, while safe shelters and support services remain critically scarce. Haiti’s international partners must urgently restore and increase funding for health, protection, and justice.

Greece is moving to criminalize compassion. A new immigration bill links humanitarian organizations and aid workers to criminal activity, imposing draconian prison sentences and fines for life-saving assistance. Introduced just after the acquittal of 24 aid workers wrongly prosecuted for search-and-rescue operations, the bill codifies a pattern of harassment already condemned by the UN and the Council of Europe. It grants sweeping powers to shut down NGOs and punish volunteers on suspicion alone. This is not happening in a vacuum. If the EU continues to tolerate these abuses, it becomes complicit in dismantling humanitarian principles it claims to uphold.

Maybe the countries who have the people leaving as refugees should fix their issues and focus on their people? It is no one else’s responsibility. How about you open your home to them? Fund them, let them live with you, use your resources. Then tell us how it goes ;)
There’s nothing wrong with helping people in their own country. They don’t have to come to another country to get help. That’s why we have the UN.

Sounds like a step in the right direction. These "refugees" pass by several counties that share their culture, beliefs and religion to come to modern, wealthy, western, mostly Christian countries. Then they think they're going to make the place they fled to like the place they fled from. If they want a better life they can create change in their country of origin.

What is happening in Minneapolis should alarm every community in every state. This is not a local issue; it is a national warning. When federal agents operate with violence, secrecy, and impunity, no one is protected. Across Minneapolis, people are standing together, filming, documenting, protesting, and refusing silence. That solidarity must now spread. From New York to California, from border towns to major cities, people must demand accountability, transparency, and respect for human life. Solidarity is our strongest defense against abuse of power. If we allow this to happen to one community, we accept that it can happen to all.

"Be the answer to your ancestors Prayers." I just heard this on a show that I was watching and I think this should hold true today. I think our country has lost sight of what our ancestors came to this country to do . I feel our country is very short-sighted now with the thoughts that there are people in our country that don't belong. I'm sure when our ancestors came here they felt that same sentiment that they didn't belong. But look what our ancestors have done and we survived. We will survive. We all need to stay strong and stay the course to keep the freedom that our constitution gives us. We should all remember that.
When communities act violently towards society there are major problems.
It’s a real simple equation; don’t interfere with immigration enforcement and there will be nothing of which immigration enforcement will enjoy impunity from. More importantly, if they seem to enjoy impunity, maybe it’s because they’re on the right side of the law, and you are not.
There are pretty simple ways to avoid trouble
It is a local issue. iCE is functioning quite well in other states. The problem in MN is that the local leaders have decided to not control the protests. If the Klan was walking down the street the local police would be deployed to keep the two groups separate- but not for ICE. If local law enforcement we’re allowed to do their job there would be far fewer issues in MN
I need to comment on the amount of foreigners starting conversations about ICE, with most of them against them, and even sounding socialist. It just seems to be more and more lately. I'd love to hear more about who they are. Where they are. And why they are so interested.
