Suspending US-Kosovo Dialogue—A Rude Awakening For Kurti

Although Trump does not necessarily follow logical and practical foreign policy to frame US relations with other countries, his decision to suspend the US-Kosovo dialogue was not entirely misguided. Prime Minister Kurti failed to show statesmanship to steer the country in the right direction. He must now face the inescapable reality that he habitually dismissed….

Recognition Without Action Is Meaningless

“Never Again” Has Tragically Lost Its Moral Weight

The genocidal war in Gaza should put the whole world on notice that this is now simply another episode in the moral collapse of our humanity, as “never again” has lost its moral weight Since he rose to power 30 years ago, Netanyahu has been bent on scuttling any prospect of peace with the Palestinians…

Nearly 3 million children in rural America—one in five—live in poverty. This is not just the result of geography, but of policy choices. For decades, rural schools have been underfunded, public transportation neglected, and investment in early education pushed to the margins. The result is stark: by third grade, rural students already lag behind, and too many face a future cut short by dropping out of high school. While politicians debate, communities are left to shoulder the consequences. Save the Children has worked in rural America for over 90 years, but charity cannot substitute for justice. Children should not be condemned to poverty because their country has failed to prioritize them. Numbers tell the story, but behind every number there is a child. They deserve opportunity, security, and a future. It is America’s responsibility not to fail them.

Trump has doubled down on his xenophobia from his first administration. He issued an executive order to end birthright citizenship for children born in the US to undocumented parents. He ordered the suspension of asylum eligibility at the southern border. He laid the groundwork for mass deportations. He enabled mass deportations and enforced disappearances. This is immoral and counterproductive, as immigrants continue to be central to the US economic engine.

Nearly one million people are being forced from Gaza City, already a landscape of hunger and rubble. Aid sits locked in warehouses while families starve and children endure unimaginable trauma. The UN Commission of Inquiry has delivered its most damning conclusion: genocide is happening in Gaza. The leaders of over 20 major aid agencies state: “What we are witnessing in Gaza is not only an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, but what the UN Commission of Inquiry has now concluded is a genocide. With this finding, the Commission joins a growing number of human rights organizations and leaders globally, and within Israel.” Humanitarian leaders warn that Gaza has been deliberately made uninhabitable. Over 100 organizations are urging governments to act now: demand an immediate ceasefire, open all land crossings, and restore a full UN-led aid system. The world cannot look away any longer. The UN is recognizing the reality: genocide is unfolding in front of our eyes in Gaza.

It has been two years since Hamas’ brutal assault on October 7, 2023. 1,218 people were killed in southern Israel – young people enjoying a music festival, entire generations of families, migrant farmworkers, and more. 252 people were taken hostage, 47 of whom remain in captivity and only 21 of whom are still alive. Since then, Israel’s retaliatory war of revenge and retribution has killed over 67,000 people, two-thirds of whom are women and children; 90 percent of Gaza’s population has been displaced. The near-total lack of food aid has led to half a million people suffering from famine. Both Hamas and Israel have committed war crimes and crimes against humanity. This war is killing Israelis and Palestinians alike, and nobody is immune from the suffering. The past two years have demonstrated two things quite clearly: first, neither the Israelis nor the Palestinians are going anywhere. Second, this conflict cannot be ended through violent means. Only a negotiated settlement, which must include the release of all hostages still in Gaza, an end to violent hostilities on both sides, and a commitment toward ultimately establishing a Palestinian state (in which Hamas will play no role), will end this conflict. There is no other option that will enable both Israelis and Palestinians to live in peace and security. ... See MoreSee Less

In war, you don’t hold hostages. This is simply Israel’s continuing eradication of terrorism.

Bold statement respect your view it's honest & aligned with Facts specially the part that you have mentioned neither the Israelis nor the Palestinians are going anywhere. This 77 years of killing needs to come an end somehow.

Talk to Israel.

Put up all the propaganda you like people can see what's really going on. What Hamas did for 3 days was horrible what has been done for over a year is called genocide. They are literally shooting children when they come to get food. Also why the hell is the United States paying for Israel to have free health care when we can't get it for our own citizens? If anyone donates to this you are a complete simp.

Blame Hamas.

The root cause is Israel genocide and occupation act of terrorism through out the middle east.....so this is the beginning

Trump could have built on the US’ greatness rather than dismantling what America stood for. Domestically, he could have worked on genuine bipartisan healthcare reform to expand coverage and lower costs. Increasing funding for public education and job training programs to prepare workers for the future. Reforming the criminal justice system to reduce incarceration and support rehabilitation. Pushing for clean energy jobs and climate resilience projects in the US. Working on bipartisan immigration reforms. Strengthening the economy while enriching America’s resourcefulness and diversity. Strengthening democratic institutions by supporting voting rights, safeguarding election integrity, and reinforcing checks and balances. But then, everything he has done is precisely the opposite. ... See MoreSee Less

A new Amnesty International investigation has revealed harrowing evidence that Syrian government and affiliated forces carried out extrajudicial executions of at least 46 Druze men and women in Suwayda, in southern Syria, on July 15 and 16. Verified videos and eyewitness testimony show armed men in military and security uniforms, some with official emblems, deliberately shooting unarmed civilians in homes, a hospital, a school, a ceremonial hall, and even in a public square. One grieving father described watching his son’s body “dance as the bullets pierced him.” Extrajudicial executions are crimes under international law. The Syrian government must launch an independent, impartial investigation and ensure those responsible are prosecuted in fair trials. The killings in Suwayda are another reminder that unchecked impunity fuels cycles of sectarian violence. Justice for Syria’s victims cannot be delayed any longer. The legitimacy of the Syrian government is on the line. ... See MoreSee Less

The war in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo has reached new levels of horror. Civilians are being terrorized by both Rwanda-backed M23 rebels and the Wazalendo militia, which is backed by the Congolese army. According to Amnesty International, women are gang raped, families executed, and activists abducted—crimes that violate international humanitarian law and may amount to war crimes. These atrocities are deliberate tools of war to punish and intimidate civilians. Yet perpetrators continue with impunity. The international community cannot remain a bystander; it must push for independent investigations into war crimes, impose targeted sanctions on commanders and their political backers in both Rwanda and the DRC. In addition, it is necessary to scale up humanitarian aid for millions displaced, and demand absolute compliance with peace agreements. At the same time, it must protect the journalists, activists, and defenders who are risking their lives by documenting these atrocities. ... See MoreSee Less
