The United States cages about 2 million people—more than any other country on earth and more than many authoritarian states combined. Hundreds of thousands are locked up for nonviolent offenses, including people serving years simply for possessing marijuana, even as cannabis is now legal or decriminalized in much of the country. To deepen the disgrace, many facilities are run by for profit corporations whose business model depends on keeping cells full, not on delivering justice or rehabilitation. This is not a system gone slightly wrong; it is a vast human warehousing industry that preys on the poor, on minorities, and on the powerless. It is a moral travesty and a permanent stain on America’s claim to champion freedom and human rights.

Hungary stands at a turning point. After 16 years of democratic backsliding under Viktor Orbán, the incoming government now faces a critical test: restore the rule of law or allow further erosion of rights. As Human Rights Watch urges immediate action, ending rule by decree, restoring judicial independence, and dismantling institutions used to silence critics should be a priority. In South Sudan, civilians are being forced to flee, not to safety, but into greater danger. The Arab states, though never tiring of affirming the justice of the Palestinian cause and the necessity of a two-state solution, have consistently fallen short of their words. Although they possess enormous strategic weight—withholding or granting diplomatic recognition, and opening markets, energy, airspace, and security cooperation—they have rarely used these tools to force Israel to choose between occupation and peace with the Palestinians. This failure has signaled to Israel that it can normalize relations with some Arab states, à la the Abraham Accords, while maintaining its grip on Palestinian land without risking any backlash. Even in the face of Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza, most Arab governments limited themselves to statements, summits, and carefully choreographed outrage that stopped well short of meaningful pressure. Why Arab Nations are not helping the Gazan refugees? I am neither Pro Zionist Israel nor Pro Palestine. I abhorred the government on both sides for violence. I condemned the IDF for shooting and bombing Palestinian Muslims and Christians, at the same time, I condemn Hamas for their treatment of the Palestinian and Israeli civilians. I visited Israel before, I know that Jews, Arabs and Palestinians can live peacefully side by side like family but it is their governments (both sides) who made them fight it out. I believe the Israel and Palestinian conflict could be over if Egypt or Jordan, or any Arab Nations nearby open their borders and let the Palestinian refugees in. Secondly, Egypt has the largest army in the Arab World but they refuse to help the Gazans. Now here is an FAQ: Why Arab Nations are not helping the Gazan Refugees? Here are several reasons: 1. I have a friend who has worked with Jordanians and they told him that Jordan is concerned about radical Islam infiltrating into their country and it might rally people against their government. See the murder of Muath al-Kasasbeh, a Jordanian fighter pilot burned to death by ISIS en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muath_al-Kasasbeh 2. The Arab Nations do not allow any Free Palestine Protests in their country as they worry it might make the people unite and rebel against the governments. Egyptians and their neighbours do not like the Palestinian people at all. 3. The rich Arab countries like Saudi Arabia and UAE are more interested about maintaining their wealth than helping Gazans. I suspect that they could be paid off by the elites: “We pay you millions to buy your oil and you leave Gaza alone.” Mosab Hassan Yousef, an Ex-Hamas member said: “If I have the power, I would open the borders and save many Gazan refugees as much as possible. I care for the children and women there. The Arab Nations do not care, they are more interested in their wealth.” 4. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" – Iran is Israel’s greatest Nemesis. That is why Arab Nations which consists mainly of Sunni Muslims do not get along with the Iranian Shite Muslims. They need Israel to stop Iran, as the proverb said above….

I am so glad you are shedding light on that!

well, they have good reasons

And the Israel government will use any means to achieve their aims.

They're making lots of money doing deals with Donald.

Think a lot often arab states know there was no Genocide

Everyone, except the public, have abandoned Palestinians. It is the greatest shame of this century

For them, it wasn’t really about the Palestinians. They used the Palestinian suffering as a platform to hate on the Jews. Now, it’s not so popular anymore the anti Israel movement they won’t really give a crap about them.

They abandoned our people over 78 years ago. The moment the Eastern Europeans showed their real intent was the moment our people should have united as one to shut it down.

The Arab Nations are very frightened of Israel, for several reasons: On 9 September 2025, during the Gaza war, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted an airstrike in the Leqtaifiya district of Qatar's capital Doha, targeting the leadership of Hamas, housed in a Qatari government residential complex, as it met to discuss an active ceasefire proposal presented by the United States. The attack killed and injured Hamas members, Qatari security forces, and multiple civilians. The attack was Israel's first known attack in Qatar, and its first direct strike on a Gulf Cooperation Council member. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli_attack_on_Doha Benjamin Netanyahu was quoted as saying: "Today's action against the top terrorist chieftains of Hamas was a wholly independent Israeli operation [...] Israel initiated it, Israel conducted it, and Israel takes full responsibility." Netanyahu also warned Qatar for providing Hamas leaders with a "safe haven," stating "I say to Qatar and all nations who harbor terrorists: you either expel them or you bring them to justice. Because if you don't, we will." I will paraphrased it as Israel’s warning to all Arab Nations: “Take Qatar as a lesson, if you mess with us, we will bomb you next.” ….. proves that Arab countries are really scared of Israel…. They also are aware and frightened of the Mossad Agents. Mossad are very good at conducting assassinations. They wonder in their mind: “Will I be next? (next to be killed)? I learn that Zionist Israel has controlled their water and most parts of the Middle East are having water shortage. Just like Israel’s bombing of Qatar, the Arab Nations are also worried as I suspect Israel might have threatened them: “Do as I say or we cut off the water to your nations and you will thirst to death.” youtu.be/eCOF3olc3FI?si=fNjwf2b7OW3I-cOr

The framing omits core Palestinian agency and misattributes causality. The conflict persists primarily because Palestinian leadership has rejected or undermined negotiated settlements repeatedly: the Camp David Summit 2000, the Taba Summit 2001, and the Olmert Peace Offer 2008 all offered statehood frameworks that were not accepted. Internal Palestinian divisions—especially the split between the Fatah and Hamas—have made a coherent negotiating position impossible. One side negotiates; the other rejects Israel’s existence and uses violence. Armed groups, particularly Hamas, have repeatedly initiated escalations (rocket fire, attacks on civilians), ensuring cycles of conflict and undermining diplomacy. Governance failures—corruption, lack of elections, suppression of opposition—have weakened Palestinian institutions and reduced credibility as a state partner. Arab states’ normalization (e.g., Abraham Accords) reflects a shift driven by regional interests, not the cause of the conflict. These states do not control Palestinian decision-making or veto power over agreements Palestinians declined. Labeling the war “genocide” is a political claim, not a settled legal determination; it does not substitute for analysis of decisions by Palestinian actors that sustain the conflict. Bottom line: the decisive barrier to resolution has been Palestinian leadership choices—rejection of offers, internal fragmentation, and continued reliance on violence—not a lack of pressure from Arab states.

Let’s keep talking about the Israeli apartheid state doing the harm to Palestinians and not the spineless neighbours not helping them. How many conversations about the Holocaust did not center the Germans as the perpetrators? Oh yeah, none. After the apartheid state is dismantled then talk about who let this happen. Stop shifting the conversation, we see through your manipulation of the narrative.

I guess that those Arab countries being attacked by Hamas’ (“Palestinian”) benefactors aren’t especially happy.

Ive always never understood how they just sit there while there arab neighbours are obliterated. 😲

Textbook colonialism. Take the land, then dictate acceptable mode of resistance to the native dispossessed.

Absolutely.

Its about politics. Bowing to the US and Israels demands. In order to do business and curry favour. What happened to the World. Few,even Christians, showed care and concern for the Jews in Nazi Germany. Now the West and Jews do the same to Arabs. Even Arabs pay lip service to their brother's needs. It seems mankind have lost compassion and moral fibre. Money and power have become their God. Would that all mankind would heed the voice of the Lord Jesus Christ. " Blessed are the peacemakers. They shall be called the sons of God". What have we become,if we cannot love our enemy and refuse to endorse war and killing. JOY MAGAZINE ,a so called Christian magazine, may promote that we need to support the weapons industry in the US. Making weapons provides jobs for some and massacres thousands of others. Printing such terrible things in a christian magazine, proves what the world has become. Jesus said " Thou shalt not kill. Love your enemy, pray for those who misuse you."

From the outset the article is flawed. It mentions the two state solution as if Palestinians have an interest in that.

And u gladly invaded them, and started to ethnically cleanse them! Hypocrite!

ISREAL IS NOT COMMITTING GENOCIDE!!

Palestinians?????? You mean Gazan Arabs!! Half of Gaza are Saudis, the other half Egyptians, some Yemenis and other Arab mix. They are a Movement of Terrorist Breeding Arabs that cause trouble! No other Arab country wants them!!! Lets not forget, when the European Jews came back to the land, there was also a mass migration of Arabs to Isreal who wanted a piece of the pie. So the Gazans are not the real Palestinians!! Look at history!! 1923 and 1945 the Arabs Boycotted Palestinian Goods because Palestinians were Jews!!!!
