The Psychological Dimension of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

July 26, 2024, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

In this class, we will cover the elements that created significant psychological problems among Israelis and Palestinians, making the bridging of their differences extremely difficult. We will also examine what it will take to mitigate the psychological aspect of the conflict, and how that might help resolve some of the most intractable issues, namely the Palestinian refugees, status of Jerusalem, national security, and Israeli settlements and interspersed populations.

Dr. Ben-Meir will discuss this topic as a part of Long Island University’s Hutton House Lecture Series
